Dr. Amanda Smith began her career as a veterinarian in Dripping Springs. She warmly welcomed the opportunity to return home to Dripping Springs to practice her brand of family-centered care and high-quality medicine at Springs Veterinary Care! Dr. Smith has a special interest in dentistry, pain management, hospice care, and community outreach. She hopes to foster strong, long-lasting relationships with her patients and their loving families.

Dr. Jennifer Bucher, Dripping Springs


Dr. Jennifer Bucher graduated from the Kansas State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. She has worked in the veterinary profession in a variety of practice types and is very excited to begin this year closer to home in Dripping Springs. Here she hopes to build and establish relationships with her patients and those who love them. She enjoys practicing quality medicine with her professional areas of interest including dermatology, endocrinology, and cardiology.

Outside of the office, she can be seen working out at Orange Theory Fitness, spending time with her four children who are all at various schools in Dripping Springs ISD and watching them perform and compete in a variety of activities.



Dr. Michelle Henthorne is a 2000 graduate of Texas A&M University, School of Veterinary Medicine. She grew up in Houston and has practiced medicine all across the country, from California to Florida. She is passionate about high quality patient care and communicating with her clients. She enjoys dermatology, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine.

When she’s not caring for her patients, she is busy with her family. Dr. Henthorne has two amazing kids who attend Dripping Springs schools and a loving husband. She also enjoys working out, being at the lake, and spending time with her own four legged family members.

Dr. Henthorne is excited to be practicing at Springs Veterinary Care and serving the Dripping Springs community.



As our office manager, Krista’s most important role is making sure that each client interaction, whether on the phone or in person, is a positive one. She enjoys meeting each new patient and makes getting to know their owners a priority. She is also dedicated to ensuring that Springs Veterinary Care keeps the highest standard of medicine.

She is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in Animal Science, and has a Masters in Education from Wright State University.

Krista is married to her best friend, has three grown children, and two dogs. She enjoys kayaking, hiking, gardening, photography, Ohio State Buckeye Football and traveling. She enjoys caring and loving on all the patients as Springs Veterinary Care's Hospital Manager.



Taylor is a veterinary technician that grew up in the Texas hill country most of her life, in and around animals, always knowing she wanted to work with them. She spent some time studying at Tarleton State University and currently lives in Johnson City, with her fiancé, three dogs, and a cat. She has always been in love with the field of veterinary medicine and strives for the best patient care.

Some of her hobbies include kayaking, walking backcountry roads, observing nature, and spending time with family. She is excited to help the animals of Dripping Springs.



Caitlin was born and raised in Austin, Texas, and is blessed to have grown up around such a creative and inspiring city. She was a student at Dripping Springs Middle School and graduated from Dripping Springs High School in 2015. At age 19, Caitlin discovered her natural talent for baking and has been gaining experience with it ever since.

Benny is her handsome two-year-old Dutch Shepherd who got his name from one of Caitlin's favorite songs by the great Elton John, "Benny and the Jets." Her favorite things to do are spend time with her boyfriend, family and dog. Caitlin enjoys film photography, baking, antique shopping, and finding new music to listen to over and over again until she is tired of it!

Kaelynn is from Austin, Texas. She decided to pursue her lifelong dream of working with animals in 2019 and she is currently enrolled in Austin Community College studying veterinary technology.

Kaelynn likes camping, painting, listening to music and spend time with her family. She has two dogs, a Golden Retriever and a mini Aussie. Kaelynn is very excited to start her journey here at Springs Veterinary Care!



Abbigayl started at Springs Veterinary Care as an intern in 2019 and is now a certified veterinary assistant. She is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in animal science at Texas A&M University with plans to go on to vet school. Abbigayl can't wait to meet you and your furbabies!

Heather was born and raised on the coast of South Africa. She came to the States in 2008 temporarily, planning to go back and study further to someday be a Game Ranger. In 2009, she met her husband and has been living in the States ever since. Heather has lived in New York, Tennessee, Colorado and now Texas.

In Colorado, she was given the opportunity to get back on track with her dream of working with animals. Since September of 2018, Heather has client care specialist, training as a veterinary assistant.

Her favorite thing is spending time with her husband and two dogs. She also loves talking to family abroad on Skype when the time difference allows for it.

Heather enjoys hunting, fly fishing, oil and acrylic painting, photography and surfing.
