SURGICAL CARE AT SPRINGS VETERINARY CARE

When your beloved pet undergoes a surgical procedure at Springs Veterinary Care, you can expect an exceptional experience. Our facility is Dripping Springs' answer to leading-edge technology with a human touch for your pet's surgery needs.

Here are some of the features that make our surgery department stand out:

Dog on Shoulder

BRAND-NEW SURGICAL SUITE
Springs Veterinary Care’s construction was completed in late summer 2017. Everything in our facility was brand new and fully-stocked to assist in your pet's surgery and recovery.

CARDELL® VETERINARY MONITOR
Cardell® monitoring systems are considered top of the line for both human and veterinary medicine. Our Cardell® system monitors your pet’s vital signs and anesthesia throughout the entire procedure.

IN-HOUSE LABORATORY
When pre- or post-surgical lab results are needed, they are processed quickly onsite in our in-house laboratory. This means you will have answers for your pet faster, or your pet may be released to come home sooner.

IN-HOUSE PHARMACY
Go home with your pet’s medications straight from our in-house pharmacy after surgery. When chronic medication is needed, we offer the convenience of home delivery from our online pharmacy as well.

COLD LASER THERAPY
All post-surgical wounds (with some exceptions) receive cold laser therapy. Dr. Smith has found this increases the speed of healing and gets your pet back to normal more quickly.

Scheduling Surgery for Your Pet

A surgical procedure is much more involved than a physical exam, so a pre-scheduled appointment is necessary. We'll perform an exam and evaluate their overall health and recommend pre-surgical lab work. These laboratory results will help our veterinarians make informed decisions about your pet's health prior to undergoing anesthesia.
